7-20 Arnett 50th wedding anniversary

Eugene and Darlene Arnett of Palestine celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 12-13 with their family at the Inn at BK Ranch. The couple married July 13, 1958 at Forest Hills Baptist Church outside of Hope, Ark. After working for Brookshire’s for several years, Eugene moved the family to Palestine to be store manager in 1969. He has been working for Braly Builder’s Supply since 1982. Darlene has been a homemaker, as well as worked for Brookshire’s and JC Penney. They have four children and five grandchildren. Their children and their families are Jan and Stanley Pennington, their daughter, Clancey of Grapeland; Randy and Janis Arnett and their son, Aidan of Georgetown; Ricky and Shannon Arnett and their children, Caroline and Eric of Austin; and Vicki and Tom Schoelkopf and their son Luke, of Austin.
