Bauer 50th Anniversary

Dr. and Mrs. Bernie Baur celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 17 with a surprise party given by fellow members of Crockett Road Church of Christ. Dr. Baur married Mildred Holland in San Antonio on June 17, 1949. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and graduated from San Antonio Chiropractic College. Dr. Baur practiced in San Antonio, Yorktown and Tyler, Texas. In 1961, he became a minister in the Church of Christ. Mrs. Baur was a bookkeeper and later retired from El Paso Independent School District and Rose Mary’s Marketing Associates in Tyler. The couple now reside in Palestine, where they are active in church work. Their children are daughter Jan Reeder and husband Bob of Buffalo; and son, Tim Baur and wife Ann of Woodbury, Minn. They have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
