Allyson Mitchell celebrates with friends and family Tuesday night after winning the vote for Anderson County Criminal District Attorney. Mitchell will be the county's first ever female criminal district attorney after defeating long time incumbent DA Doug Lowe in the Republican Primary election. Mitchell, 39, won the race by 918 votes, receiving a total of 3,458 votes (58 percent) to Lowe's 2,540 (42 percent).
