City contractors, with McKinney and Moore Construction of Jacksonville, on Tuesday work to replace a 6-inch sewer line with an new 8-inch line, at the roadway at the intersection of Crockett Road, Church and Lamar Streets. The project is one of three the city has been working on for months. Last week they completed a similar project at the intersection of U.S. 79 and Oak Street. The third project is located on Glenwood Drive. City officials ask local motorists to watch out for workers while driving through these areas. The replacement lines will help the city’s wastewater infrastructure. Work is slated to be completed by the end of the year.
