City Road Work

City street crews cold patch a portion of Market Street at Mallard Street early Monday morning. Contracted crews with Reynolds & Kay Construction of Tyler also resurfaced several roads around the downtown area Monday as part of the city’s routine chip seal road maintenance program. Drivers are urged to use caution while driving through the downtown area this week as loose gravel may be present. Utilities Director Tim Perry said road work should be completed before the end of the week. Streets that received attention Monday included Brazos, Murchison, Crawford, Popular and Inwood; Avenue C and Park Avenue West; and Mimosa and Brookview drives.
