• Kristen Cobble and Michael Shugart, both of Palestine, announce the birth of a son, Connor Riley, on Jan. 22. Grandparents are Ronda Carsten of Riesel, Tyron Cobble of Palestine, Ed Shugart of Slocum and Joanne Shugart of St. George, Utah. Great grandmother is Joyce Wester of Palestine. Great grandparents are Ed and Linda Chambers of Luling and Carolyn and Wayne Southard of Jacksonville and great-great grandmother is Billie Covey of Palestine.
