Police investigate pharmacy burglary, criminal mischief at civic center

PALESTINE —

“Upon entry the offender(s) then proceeded to commit criminal mischief to the facility by knocking down over 50 ceiling tiles, damaging light sconces on the wall, and damaging the breaker boxes in one of the maintenance closets,” Muniz reported. “The damage appeared to be limited to the great room facility near the kitchen area.”

The investigation is in the initial stages and the damages are still being tallied, but it is currently estimated that at least $1,500 worth of damage had been done to the property.

The Palestine Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying and prosecuting the offender(s) responsible for both criminal act. Anyone with information about either of the cases may contact the PPD at 903-729-2254.
