Business Expo set for Thursday at Civic Center

PALESTINE — More than two dozen Palestine area businesses will be participating in the Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 Business Expo on Thursday.

“There’s limited (booth) space still available,” a chamber spokesperson said Thursday afternoon. “We have 29 booths already reserved.”

The event, which gives area businesses the opportunity to showcase their products or services, will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Palestine Civic Center.

“There will be lots of door prizes,” the spokesperson said.

Chamber ambassadors and board members will be on hand to greet visitors.

Business Expo participants include: Artistic Signs and Graphics, Bar S Ranch Resort, CJ Enterprises Inc., Crown Health Services Home Health, East/Central Texas United Way, East Texas Home Inspections & Pest Control Services, East Texas National Bank, Elkhart Oaks Care Center, Farmer’s Insurance - Schneider Agency, Frontage Services Inc. (Hutto Waste Services), Guardian Angel Home Health Care, Gutter Helmet by Rainway Inc., Harry’s Building Supplies, Robert D. Johnston - Candidate for County Judge, KYYK/KNET/, Palestine All Medical Supplies, Palestine Association of Realtors, Palestine Economic Development & Small Business Development Center, Palestine Herald-Press, Palestine Regional Medical Center, Red Hat Rental, Region’s Bank, State Farm Insurance - Kimberly McGuire, Texas Art Depot/Granny Muffin Wines, Texas Oncology - Palestine Cancer Center, Willow Creek Chiropractic & Wellness, and Don Jose’s Restaurant (food may be purchased from them).

Businesses can start setting up at 8 a.m. Thursday and must be in place by 4:30 p.m. Booths are $135 for Chamber members and $200 for non members.

There is no charge for admission.

“The public is invited to come and see what Palestine businesses have to offer,” a Chamber press release said.
