School Happenings for 9-2-07

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

• Open House, Meet The Teachers — Elkhart Elementary School will hold its Open House — Meet The Teachers night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the classrooms. PTA will be on hand with registration for the new year. Memberships are $5. Please join because the PTA does so many wonderful things for the children.

• Title I meeting — Elkhart Elementary School will hold its first Title Parent Involvement Meeting Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. in the elementary school library. This public meeting is to discuss the school wide Title I program and make plans for the upcoming year. All interested parents are invited to attend.

• Things to Collect — Remember the school is still collecting those Box Tops for Education, ink jet cartridges (big and small), soup labels, and new this year are the Nestle Pure Life water labels. All of these help to raise funds or purchase needed materials for our school. Thanks for your help in supporting our students.

• Dates to Remember — Monday, Labor Day holiday; Tuesday, Elementary Open House — Meet the Teachers, 6 to 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, Scout Night, 7 p.m., cafeteria; Friday, Grandparent's Day at the elementary school.
