Heath Pickard adorn the walls above Pickard’s widow, Sarah, left, his nine-month-old son Ethan and grandmother Margaret Pickard in his grandmother’s living room in Walston Springs. Pickard, 21, was a Frankston High School graduate serving in Iraq with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division when he was killed during a mortar and rocket-fired grenade attack on his unit.
