“Gold is where you find it” and Palestine has much to offer the citizens of this community, thank God.
On April 21, my wife and I experienced a genuine display of compassion and professional excellence beginning with an early morning phone call to 911 for a trip to the ER at Palestine Regional Medical Center by the EMS crew.
I’m thankful for the receiving nurses (Tiffany and shift change nurses), and the young doctor on duty who started the medication to make my wife more comfortable, before an x-ray could be made.
Dr. Bart Norton was notified and a time slot for my wife was provided shortly after lunch.
When my wife and I arrived for the appointment, the receptionist provided a wheelchair.
As I struggled to help my wife get seated in the wheelchair, two men who were waiting their turn to see the doctor came to our rescue. James Brown and Wendell Williams expertly removed my wife from the car and gently placed her in the wheelchair. Then, they wheeled right on to the waiting room.
I would like to take my hat off and salute all the fine people who gave of themselves to meet the needs of others.
Thanks for caring.
