Killion-Ingram wedding
Davi Killion and Jonathan Ingram were married July 25, 2009 at Elmwood Gardens in Palestine, Texas.
Pastor Neel Warren of Palestine performed the garden ceremony at sunset before a wrought iron gazebo draped with white tulle. A crystal chandelier hung above the altar.
Parents of the bride are David and Carla Killion of Palestine. Grandparents of the bride are Frankya Cooper of Elkhart and the late Carl Cooper and Augusta Killion of Palestine and the late Hiawatha Killion.
Parents of the groom are Sammy and Becky Ingram of Palestine. Grandparents of the groom are Frances Watts of Oakwood and the late John Carter Watts and the late Hugh and Minnie Ingram of Palestine. Also in attendance was honorary grandmother, Estelle Knick of Palestine.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, formal, A-line side draped gown with beaded metallic embroidered lace. The soft bridal satin dress had a split back with lace appliqués and a corset closure. The dress featured a chapel train. The bride also wore a beautifully embellished one tier, U-shaped veil, featuring a beaded scalloped edge designed with clear bugle beads and Swarovski crystals accenting each delicate scallop.
The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of white pleasure roses, purple mini callas, stock, lisianthus, hydrangea, iris, eryngium thistle and trachellium wrapped in purple ribbons.
Attending the bride was Matron of Honor, Jonna McGhee of Houston, friend of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Crystal Harrison of Palestine, sister of the bride, Kim Harris of Palestine, sister of the bride, Jodie Barnett of Palestine, sister of the groom, Margaret Blomstrom of San Antonio, friend of the bride, and Nikki Pagano of Dallas, friend of the bride.
Attendants wore deep purple cotton sateen strapless dresses with ruching and in seam pockets with a silver satin sash wrapped across the waistline. The waist was accented with a bow placed gently in the back. The dresses were complemented with a matching necklace and earring set.
Attendants carried hand tied bouquets of sterling purple roses, iris, lisianthus, stock, alstroemeria and button poms wrapped in plaid purple ribbons.
House party members included Katie LeFave of Austin, Jane Upshaw of Waco, Skyla Sale of Chattanooga, TN, Kim Craig of Kempner, and Melissa Ward of League City.
Flower girls were Morgan Harris and Isabel Barnett, nieces of the bride and groom. Ring bearers were Ethan Harrison and Carter Barnett, nephews of the bride and groom.
Best Man was Jon-Michael Cline of Fort Worth, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen were Jeremy Box of Huntsville, cousin of the groom, Jeremy Barnett of Palestine, brother-in-law of the groom, David Davis of Exeter, England, friend of the groom, Trae Hutchinson of Pearland, friend of the groom, and Brady Rather of Kansas City, friend of the groom.
Ushers were Daniel McCloud, Bradley Schwab, Clint Satterwhite, and Jason White all of Palestine. Ushers also included Caleb and Luke Harris and Garrett Harrison, nephews of the bride.
Providing music for the ceremony was soloist Jodie Barnett, sister of the groom, and DJ Casey Brown.
A dinner and dance reception hosted by the bride’s family was held at Elmwood Gardens. Casey Brown of CMB Music Productions provided the music. The groom’s mother, Becky Ingram, provided the bride’s cake. The groom’s sister, Jodie Barnett, provided the groom’s cake. The reception was catered by Shep’s Bar-B-Que. A photo booth provided by Party Booths, Inc. was present to provide guests with entertainment and wedding favors. Alex Maldonado of Alex M Photography was the photographer and Vanessa McKellar of Vanessa McKellar Productions was the videographer. David Dagley made the beautiful flowers and Linda Dickens was the wedding coordinator.
Sparklers showered the bride and groom as they left the reception on their way to their honeymoon in Tulum, Mexico. Following this trip, the bride and groom will reside in Austin, Texas.
The bride is a graduate of Palestine High School and Texas A&M University. She recently graduated from Lamar University with her Masters in Administration. She is employed with Austin Independent School District as an English teacher.
The groom is a graduate of Palestine Christian School and the University of Texas – Tyler. He is employed with Edward Jones.
