Forrester-Mottern wedding

Hillary Noelle Forrester of Glenpool, Okla. and formerly of Stigler, Okla. and Ryan Andrew Mottern of Glenpool, Okla. and formerly of Palestine were united in marriage on Sept. 26 at Dresser Mansion in Tulsa, Okla.

Parents of the bride are Chuck and Doreen Forrester of Stigler, Okla. and parents of the groom are John and Ann Mottern of Palestine.

Grandparents of the bride are Virgil and Charlene Vaughn of Stigler, Okla. and the late Wayne Forrester of Stigler, Okla. and Carl and Erma Monks of Shady Point, Okla. and the late Robert O'Dell of Stigler, Okla.

Grandparents of the groom are Marjorie Herrington and the late Johnnie Herrington of Palestine and Kay Mottern of Sunbury, Penn. and the late John C. Mottern.

The Rev. John Pruett of Main Street Baptist Church in Stigler, Okla. performed the garden ceremony at 6 p.m. in the courtyard of the mansion before an arch decorated with translucent tan and olive silk fabric which was also decorated with various flowers in fall colors.

Escorted by her father, the bride walked down an aisle flanked by red rose petals. She wore an ivory strapless sweetheart gown detailed with ornate beading and a shoulder length veil with scalloped lace edges. She chose to wear light blue shoes to symbolize “something blue” and a diamond necklace with matching earrings borrowed from her mother.

The bride carried a bouquet of antique green hydrangea, green amaranthus, deep red and orange dahlias, roses, mini calla lilies and decorated with red hypericum berries and muted fall-colored maple leaves. The stems were hand-tied with ivory ribbon.

Attending the bride was matron of honor Brooke Kasbaum, sister of the bride, of Tulsa, Okla.



Bridesmaids were Chelsea Coates of Edmond, Okla; Chelsey Walstad of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Jenny Cochran of Chicago, Ill., all college friends of the bride and Janell Burch of Edmond, Okla., close friend of the bride.

Attendants wore chocolate brown strapless knee-length dresses with matching chocolate brown Nina shoes. Each carried a bouquet matching the bridal bouquet and hand-tied with chocolate brown ribbon.

House party members were Jenny Card and Marissa Sublett, college friends of the bride.

Flower girl was Claire Kasbaum, niece of the bride, of Tulsa, Okla.

Ring bearer was Owen Hunter of Edmond, Okla.

Best man was Jason Mottern of Marble Falls, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were Breck Kasbaum of Tulsa, Okla, brother-in-law of the bride; and Aaron Ivey of Yukon, Okla., Joseph Hughes of Norman, Okla. and Jarod Freeman of Oklahoma City, Okla., all college friends and OU baseball teammates of the groom.

Usher was Archie Burch of Edmond, Okla., close friend of the bride and groom.

Providing music for the ceremony was soloist John Kannady and guitarist Ron Mallow, both of Bixby, Okla.

A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony, also at the Dresser Mansion.

Following a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing at 14562 Courtney Drive, Glenpool, Okla. 74033.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Stigler, Oklahoma High School where she was class valedictorian and a 2007 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology with a specialty in ultrasound. While in college she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is employed at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department.



The groom is a 2003 graduate of Palestine High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Relations. While in college, he was a four-year letter winner on the OU baseball team, serving one year as a team captain. He is employed with McElroy Manufacturing Inc. as a health and safety specialist and is also a baseball instructor at All Star Sports Complex in Tulsa.
