Snow-Thornton wedding

Courtney Snow of Palestine and Bryan Thornton of Elkhart were married Sept. 26 at First Baptist Church of Elkhart.

Dr. Barry Roberts of Palestine read vows before an altar decorated with Spanish candelabras with white candles, green ivy and red ribbon, two large floral arrangements of assorted white flowers and several ferns.

Parents of the bride are Bob and Sherry Snow of Palestine and parents of the groom are Ron and Marjorie Thornton of Elkhart.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white princess-cut dress, accented by sparkling beadwork and a long train.

The bride carried a bouquet of fresh red roses.

Attending the bride was matron of honor Susan Wacha of Palestine. Bridesmaids were Nicole Penn, Crystal Jasper, Monica Till, all of Palestine, and Hilarie Wacha of Keene.

Attendants wore a red, strapless A-line dress that came to the knee. They carried bouquets of white roses.

Candlelighter was Colton Balensiefen of Elkhart.

Best man was Troy Wacha of Palestine.

Groomsmen were Trey Hammans, Matthew Lowery, both of Elkhart; Jason Wacha of Palestine and Jonathan Luman of Houston.

Ushers were Justin Penn of Palestine and Travis Wacha of Keene.

Providing music was the string quartet Evergreen Strings of Tyler.

A reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held at Bar-S Ranch.

Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, the couple will reside in Palestine.

The bride is currently employed by East Texas Physicians Alliance.

The groom is currently employed by Union Pacific Railroad.
