Ivy-Robinson wedding

— Ashley Michelle Ivy and Joseph Lee Robinson were married Oct. 8, 2011 at the home of Gary and Sonya Brown in Tennessee Colony. Officiating the ceremony was Bishop Brent Hill.

The bride is the daughter of Micheal and Tressa Ivy of Palestine and parents of the groom are Terry and Judy Robinson of Palestine.

The bride was escorted down the isle by her father. She wore an ivory satin corset ball gown with beaded lace appliqués, organza pick-up skirt with a lace up back and chapel train. It was accented by an ivory elbow length veil embellished on the edges by pearl beads and sequins. She also wore western boots, and carried a bouquet of fall color flowers.

The isle was decorated by metal hangers with glass votives holding fall color flowers.

Maid of honors were Angela Choate, sister of the bride and Lacye Thatcher.

Bridesmaids were Rebecca Flores and Gabriella Brown all of Palestine. They each wore a short strapless tan dress accented by ivory lace and all wore western boots. They carried bouquets of fall colors.

Best man was T.J. Choate, brother-in-law of the bride of Palestine. Groomsmen were brothers of the groom, Donald Robinson of Boulder City, Nev. and Jeromy Robinson of Reno, Nev.

Flower girl was Camille Robinson, daughter of the groom. Ring bearers were Travis Robinson, son of the groom and Preston Choate, nephew of the bride.

The reception was also held at the home of Gary and Sonya Brown and hosted by her parents. Food was prepared by Theresa Bambeck and Michael Killough of Palestine and entertainment was provided by Kenny McCann.

House party members included Sonya Brown, Carolyn Choate of Maydelle and Debbie Shreve of Jacksonville.

The groom and bride are both 2001 graduates of Westwood High School. The groom is employed by Marshall, Swift and Boechl in Tyler. The bride also attended Trinity Valley Community College in Palestine and is currently self-employed by Stacks of Faith.

Following the weekend, the couple spent the weekend at Silverleaf Resorts and will be honeymooning in the Bahamas in the spring.

The couple resides in Flint.
