Carlisle-Harmon wedding

Melissa Ann Carlisle and David Levi Harmon were married May 17 at University Church of Christ in Shreveport, Louisiana. The ceremony was officiated by Stuart Freeman, Associate Minister at University.

The bride is the daughter of Deborah and Carl Odom of Shreveport and Stan Carlisle of Palestine. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Phyliss Bain of Shreveport, Doris Carlisle of Palestine and the late Odell Carlisle of Telephone, Texas.

The groom is the son of Bill and Kimberly Harmon of Keithville, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Doyle Harmon and the late Patricia Rabb Harmon of Monticello, Arkansas, the late Mary Johnson Lindsey, and Mr. and Mrs. Durwood Lindsey of Stonewall, Louisiana.

Attending as maid of honor was Mariah McBride, sister of the bride and matron of honor was Elaine Durbin.

Bridesmaids were Amanda Bain, cousin of the bride, Amy Procell, Emily Scruggs, Stacey Ray, Lacey Henley, Diane Rump, Amber Estes, Leslie Kubiak, Rachael Hansil and Kelly Andrews. The flower girl was Addison Rump.

Serving as guest book attendants were Chelsea Carroll, Amanda Hebert and Melissa Wood. Mario Canizales served as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Harmon and Ethan Harmon; brothers of the groom, Dustin McBride; brother of the bride, Casey Hicks, Michael Prohaska, Jeremy Bissell, Matt Procell, Matt Farmer, David Aubrey, Chase Bray and Tony Canizales.

The ring bearers were Cole Odom, brother of the bride and Brantley Bain, cousin of the bride. Serving as ushers were Samuel Carlisle, brother of the bride and Noah Harmon, brother of the groom.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Hill Country Village. The wedding cake and the groom’s Saints fleur de lis cake were created by the groom’s cousin, Dorothy Long. Floral décor was created by Southern Edge Design. Photography was provided by Soul Rebels and videographer was Rich Hansil. Music was provided by Dance Express Mobile and an acoustic performance by the couple’s friend, Daniel Smalley.

After a brief honeymoon, the bride and groom will reside in Shreveport.
