Plott-Tilley wedding

Kristen Allison Plott and John Blake Tilley Jr. exchanged vows May 24 at the Stone Creek Special Events Center in Lubbock with Jim Brewer, minister, officiating.  

Parents of the bride are Al and Ida Blessen of Lubbock and Tom and Fran Plott of Opelika, Alabama, and parents of the groom are John and Julie Tilley of Palestine. Grandparents of the groom are Dorothy Tilley and the late J. E. Tilley and June Handorf and the late Richard Handorf, all of Palestine.  

The bride wore a strapless white sweetheart a-line tulle gown with lace applique and a sweep train.  The dress was accented with a beautiful rhinestone belt. The bride carried a bouquet of spring flowers in colors of white, coral, yellow, and green.  

Katie Plott, sister of the bride served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included the groom’s sister, Beth Tilley Lunsford of Amarillo, Lexi Parrish, Emily Mann, Molly Cox, and Shelby Green of Lubbock, Jennifer Long of Alexandria, Virginia and Erika Delisle of North Smithfield, Rhode Island..  The groom’s grandmothers served as Flower Ma’s.  

The bridesmaids wore coral chiffon dresses and carried spring bouquets matching the bride’s bouquet.

Ross Setzler of Tyler served as best man. Other groomsmen included Scott Phelps of Teague, Jake Odom of Palestine and Josh Lunsford, brother-in-law of the groom, of Amarillo.  

Ring bearer was Landon Blessen, nephew of the bride, of Shallowater.

The bride is a 2010 graduate of Coronado High School in Lubbock and a 2014 graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.  She is employed by Chevron USA in Houston.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Westwood High School in Palestine and a 2014 graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. He is employed by SM Energy in Houston.

Following a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Houston.
