Tilley-Lunsford wedding

Elizabeth Carol Tilley of Amarillo and formerly of Palestine and Joshua Ryan Lunsford of Amarillo were married April 26 at Westwood Baptist Church of Palestine.

The Rev. Rick Dees of Palestine read vows before an altar decorated with vases of fresh hot pink and white roses with white hydrangeas, baby’s breath and greenery and pots of Boston ferns.

Parents of the bride are John and Julie Tilley of Palestine, and parents of the groom are Randy and Jeri Lunsford of Amarillo.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin wedding gown with an A-line skirt. The beaded illusion neckline followed down into a lovely beaded bodice with buttons that ran down the back and end of the hemline. The elongated veil was encrusted with shimmering rhinestones along the edge.

The bride carried a bouquet of hand-tied hot pink and white roses.

Attending the bride was matron of honor Marci May of Greenville and maid of honor Kristen Plott of Lubbock.

Bridesmaids were Brittany Stephens and Savana Lane, both of Nacogdoches, and Rachel Lutz of Athens.

Attendants wore an assortment of beige short formal dresses. They carried bouquets of hand-tied hot pink and white roses.

Flower girl was Maci June Alley of Palestine.

Best man was Jeremy Lunsford, brother of the groom, of Midland. Groomsmen were Preston May, Johnny Mayfield, Michael Cantu, all of Amarillo, and Blake Tilley of Lubbock.

Ushers were Trevor Haas of Palestine, Brandon Lunsford of Russellville, Arkansas, and  Marcus Navarrette of Amarillo.

Providing music was pianist June Walton of Palestine.

A reception hosted by the family of the bride was held at Westwood Baptist Church Family Life Center.

House party members included P.J. Motheral, Patti Chambers, Brittani Handorf, Angela Mannix and Phyllis Howell.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Amarillo.

The bride is a graduate of University of Texas Tyler with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She is currently pursuing a Master’s of Education in Nursing. She is employed as an registered nurse at Baptist Saint Anthony’s in Amarillo.

The groom is a graduate of Federal Aviation Academy and is employed as an Air Traffic Controller at Rich Husband International Airport in Amarillo.
