Account set up for David Kimbrough

The Palestine Herald

A fund has been set up at Capital One Bank for David Kimbrough of Portland, Texas and a 1977 Cayuga High School graduate, who was seriously injured in a one car accident on Oct. 30, 2008, in Jewett.

He was Care-Flighted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan where he stayed for over three weeks, and then transferred to Dubuis Health Systems in Corpus Christi for four weeks. David is currently receiving physical, occupational, and speech therapy at home. He is making progress daily; however, in the near future, he will be transferred to Dallas to undergo neurological rehabilitation due head trauma. This fund has been set up to help defray medical and injury-related expenses. The family has health insurance coverage; however, it is insufficient to cover all incurred expenses.

A Cayuga graduate, Kimbrough is the son of Betty and the late James Kimbrough of Montalba. He and his wife, Tina, have two sons, Travis, a senior at Gregory-Portland High School, and Brent, a student at Texas State University at San Marcos. Due to the injuries sustained in the accident, he is unable to work, and Tina, who must provide his care, is unable to work full-time, placing an additional financial burden on the family.

A donation may be made by drop-off at any Capital One Bank location or mail: David Kimbrough Donation Account, Capital One Bank, P. O. Box 318, Palestine, TX 75803
