Local agent funding programs for teachers, parents and students

Schools in Anderson County recently were given new resources for lesson plans and other classroom materials compliments of Larry Battarbee, local Farmers Insurance agent, as part of a statewide initiative.

Educationappreciation.com is designed for teachers to quickly locate lesson plans and other classroom materials. One directory focused on TEKS/TAKS student testing with multiple website links for all tested subjects and organized by Texas Education Agency objective and grade level. Another directory contains lesson plan links organized by grade level and subject designed to save the teacher an average of 30 minutes for each search.

EDHelpForParents.com is designed for the parent and student to be used outside the classroom. Contained within this website is a Homework Helper directory with links to activities and reviews sorted by grade level and by subject. Parents can locate scholarship and grant applications, college entry requirements and many other resources that can involve the parent in the child’s upbringing and education. The student can easily locate among other things Science Fair project links, sports related websites and tips and links on report writing. Maintenance and updates to the two programs are made daily.
