Donation request not for Meals on Wheels

It has recently come to the attention of Meals on Wheels of Palestine Inc., which serves the elderly of Anderson, Cherokee and Rusk counties, that people in these counties are receiving a mailed out solicitation for donations for Meals on Wheels.

“People erroneously think that it is for Meals on Wheels of Palestine, Inc., who actually serves the elderly of these counties. However, in actuality, the solicitation is from Meals on Wheels Ministries of Tyler. Meals on Wheels Ministries of Tyler, does not provide services in these three counties,” a Meals on Wheels of Palestine Inc. news relese said.

Anyone who has received these solicitations should be aware, that if you respond to this solicitation, you are not helping to support Meals on Wheels of Palestine, Inc., but Meals on Wheels Ministries of Tyler, a news release said.
