Anderson County Youth Livestock Association will present the Ranch Rodeo series Sept. 14 and 28 and Oct. 12 and 26. Teams must enter all four rodeos to win prizes.
Rodeo performances will be held at 1 p.m. on the above dates. Events will include: wild cow milking, team doctoring, team branding and double mugging.
Prizes will include four saddles to the top team, breast collar to the top horse and a buckle to the top hand.
Entry fee is $500 per team ($125 per team member). Each team will consist of four members and one alternate (team members and alternate must be same person throughout the series.
Entry fee must be paid by Wednesday. Entry fees can be mailed to: ACYLA, P.O. Box 59, Palestine, TX, 75802.
Payout based on 20 teams is first place ($3,000), second place ($1,800) and third place ($1,200).
The Ranch Rodeo series is sponsored by 4H Oil Fields, MICAR Transport, MKS Services and Ag General.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under age 12. A concession stand will be available.
