‘Dinner and a Show’ offered

Staff Reports
The Palestine Herald

PALESTINE Once again Alan and Vickie Brunton, owners of Fig Tree Manor, are prepared to set the mood for opening night at the Texas Theater.

Chef Brunton has created a menu inspired by the East Coast setting of “Arsenic and Old Lace” and designed to please the most discriminating East Texas palate, a PCT news release said.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, a meal of New England Clam Chowder, roast beef and vegetable medley and rhubarb pie will be served in this restored Victorian home. Guests may choose to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine from Sweet Dreams Winery with their dinner. Located on the banks of Old Town Palestine’s Wells Creek at 203 Erwin St., this bed and breakfast is a short walk to the theater. Tickets for “Dinner and a Show” are $30 and available only at Education Unlimited (903-723-8383).
