Public hearing Monday to discuss lowering speed limit on CR 2133

A public hearing will be held by the Anderson County Commissioners Court during its regular meeting Monday to discuss lowering the speed limit on CR 2133 to 35 miles per hour.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday inside the county courtroom at the Anderson County Courthouse Annex.

After the hearing the commissioners will decide on the proposed new speed limit.

Commissioners also will hear from district judge Bascom W. Bentley III and Trevor Theilen regarding county trash pickup.

In the other business the court will:

• CONSIDER approving accounts management policy for Anderson County.

• CONSIDER Internet format for displaying the Anderson County budge on county’s Web site.

• CONSIDER funding and moving all of the servers and the network core to the courthouse annex.

• HEAR from Jennifer Godoi with Tyler Technologies regarding annual client support and software services agreement.

• CONSDER adopting resolution authorizing county grant for 2010 Meals on Wheels.

• HEAR from Schelby Wells regarding acceptance of 2009 Homeland Security grant and authorize county judge to sign as grant financial officer and take action as necessary.

• REVIEW bill of sale, waiver of liability and hold harmless agreement for retired canine and approve transfer of Anderson County Sheriff's Office retired canine, “Lucky.”

• DISCUSS payment of invoice for Flulaval vaccine purchased by Anderson County Jail and take action as necessary.

• CONSIDER adopting resolution appointing board of director representative to the Anderson County Central Appraisal District for the 2010-2011 term.

• HEAR from Bill Lacey with Palestine Economic Development Corp. on update on Capgemini Project.

• CONSIDER Arcadia Publishing contract for historical commission to publish local history book.

• HEAR from Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Carl Davis regarding computer problems and take action as necessary.

• HEAR from Anderson County Clerk Wanda Burke regarding creating local data advisory board as required by HB 2730.
