Parade winners announced

With its red, white and blue patriotic look, the Citizens of the Constitution float was named the overall winner of the WonderFall OktoberFest Parade Saturday, winning a $300 prize.

Here is a list of parade winners by category:

• Organization — Sacred Heart Catholic Church, first; Elkhart High School Band, second; Girl Scouts of North East Texas, third.

• Individual — Sharon Fisher, first; Phillip Morris, second; Bob Slayden, third.

• Float — Rotary Club of Palestine, first; Palestine YMCA, second; Palestine High School cheerleaders, third.
