Beef cattle education meeting set Nov. 15

Area producers will have an opportunity to attend and participate in a Beef Cattle Education Meeting on Nov. 15.

Registration and a Dutch Treat meal will start at 6:30 p.m. and the program will start at 7 p.m. at Ben E. Keith meeting room, 2019 W. Oak St. Dr. Jesse Richardson, DVM of Athens will discuss external and internal parasites and their control.

Dr. Jason Banta Beef Cattle Specialist and Associate Professor at Texas A&M Research Extension Center will discuss feeds and feeding supplementation for hay such as protein and energy differences and functions.

County Extension Agent Truman Lamb will discuss fall armyworms and control measures.

Two hours CEU’s toward pesticide recertification will be offered. Contact Anderson County Extension office of Texas Cooperative Extension at 903-723-3735 to register.
