Jamie's Therapeutic Touch Day Spa in Palestine has announced the addition of two new massage therapists to the spa staff — both with over 20 years of experience.
Dianna Vernon, a licensed massage therapist with over 23 years of experience, specializes in working with acute and chronic pain conditions and has collaborated with many professional and Olympic athletes.
She is certified in neuromuscular therapy training, medical, orthopedic and myofascial massage training, Qi Gong training and clinical aromatherapy.
“Her area of expertise and desire for her clients is to be pain-free and an overall sense of well-being,” spa owner Jamie Pettiette Rhone said. “Kathy Klauser is trained in deep tissue, medical massage, pregnancy, reflexology, Swedish and so much more.”
Neuromuscular massage utilizes highly specific techniques to reduce and alleviate acute and chronic pain of the soft tissues and conditions such as whiplash, migraine, scoliosis, stress arthritis, concussion, gastrointestinal disorders and more.
All ages — from children to the elderly — can benefit for this type of massage therapy, with each session requiring a minimum of one hour and fifteen minutes.
An initial session begins with a consultation concerning challenges and outcomes, followed by movement analysis of the area of concern and then the “hands on” time with the appropriate therapy.
Assisted stretching may be used to round out the session.
