PALESTINE — With a new year generally comes resolutions for improving many aspects of your life — both personally and professionally.
The Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing in a speaker for its Quarterly Chamber Luncheon this month that will address the self improvement area in many people's resolution wish list.
Hannah Krause of Direct Training Development will present a program on “Mastering Your Memory” to help individuals improve their performance and overall skills.
"This fun and interactive program is going to be a great way to start of the new year! This presentation will teach you skills to improve your ability to recall information that you can use in many aspects of your professional and personal life,” PACOC Executive Director Marc Mitchell said. “If you are looking for self improvement opportunities in 2014, this is one presentation you do not want to miss!"
The program will include a memory demonstration where those in attendance will play an interactive memory game to discover what can be accomplished with the new skill of “mastering your memory.” The methods demonstrated will be brought down to specific and applicable usages of having a trained memory: increased sales, more confidence and competitive advantage.
The presentation will cover:
How to have an instant recall of client's names, market data, to-do lists, numbers and more.
Connecting with clients in meaningful ways.
Leading meetings with confidence and competence.
Giving presentations without notes.
Steps in reducing stress.
The luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at Ben E. Keith Community Room, 2019 W. Oak St. Cost is $10, which includes lunch.
