Hensarling Announces 2013 Congressional Art Competition


PALESTINE — Massey Lake Reunion set

The 35th Annual Massey Lake Ex-Students School Reunion will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Massey Lake Community Center (formerly gymnasium).

Reunion activities include a barbecue feast with all the trimmings and fresh fried catfish, as well as an Easter egg hunt, hayride for children and adults, games, prizes and a fashion show.

Attendees are invited to attend an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Tennessee Colony.

Neches High School Reunion

Neches High School will hold an all-class reunion at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 in Neches and Palestine.

Activities begin on at 7 p.m. on June 21 with a meet-and-greet at Express Inn & Suites, located 1100 E. Palestine Ave. in Palestine. Appetizers will be served and a DJ will be present.

June 22 events include a breakfast at 10 a.m. at Neches Elementary School and a dinner and dance at 7 p.m. at the Express Inn. The meal is being catered by Shep’s Barbecue and a live band will perform.

Dress for the weekend is casual. Attendees area asked to bring their own alcoholic beverages (tea and sodas will be provided). Children are welcome at the breakfast, but evening event are for adults only.
