Goodwill of East Texas will host a grand-opening of its new Palestine store location Friday.
Doubling the floor space, the new store is located at 3824 W. Oak St. at the former Harry’s Building Materials location and offers more than 7,100 square feet of retail space.
Festivities will kick off Friday with a Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. The store will then host a live remote broadcast from KNES-FM from 1 to 3 p.m. This live remote will offer door prizes and giveaways during the two-hour period. Regular store hours will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Our customers are asking daily about when the new store will open. They know that we have been stockpiling items and the new store will offer wonderful treasures at budget friendly, Goodwill prices,” Goodwill Palestine Store Manager Tamora Clemons said. “The larger store will offer fashion, furniture, household items and fun.”
Not only will there be more capacity for shopping and larger dressing rooms, the new donation area also will provide wide open space for easy access and drop off, according to a news release.
