Four-county Tea Party Rally set Saturday in Corsicana

CORSICANA —

Members of the Anderson County Tea Party/Citizens for the Constitution are participating in a four-county “I Do Not Consent” Tea Party Rally Saturday in Corsicana.

The 4-County Tea Party Rally will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Freedom Flag Plaza in Bunert Park, located at 201 Bunert Park Road in Corsicana just off Texas 31 East.

“I believe that most folks in Anderson County are true conservatives wanting our country to get back to the principles of freedom, reverence for God and the Constitution as written” said Bart McReynolds, chairman of the Anderson County Tea Party/Citizens for the Constitution. “I believe most folks in Anderson County are tired of increasing taxes, government regulation and intrusion on every aspect of our lives and businesses, and want to be free to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The event is being organized by the Hill County Tea Party, Anderson County Tea Party/Citizens for the Constitution, Freestone County Tea Party and the Conservative Society of Navarro County.

“This rally in Corsicana has many learned and committed speakers that will encourage folks that there is still hope for America to return to a nation we all can be proud of again and a government that is truly 'of the people, by the people, and for the people,'” McReynolds said. “We must not let ignorance and apathy defeat and deprive us of a more than abundant life as Jesus Christ promised and the reason for which this country was founded.”

Emcee will be former Senate District 22 Committeeman Jimmie Kerr.

Other speakers will include:

• Frank Kuchar, Arlington and Ellis County Tea Parties, “Why the Constitution?”

• Michael Smith, Conservative Nation Media, “The Spirit of Texas Patriots”

• Cathie Adams, “Signs of the Times from a Christian Perspective,” Texas Eagle Forum
