PALESTINE — Palestine Police are continuing to investigate the armed robbery of a local convenience store involving multiple suspects that occurred late Tuesday evening.

According to reports, PPS officers responded to an armed robbery call at Brianna’s Store located in the 400 block of Palestine Ave., at about 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

“Information from the victim indicated that three men armed with handguns entered the store and demanded money,” PPD Sgt. James Muniz said. “The suspects had their heads covered at the time of the incident.

“The clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash and the suspects left the scene on foot.”

Police are attempting to obtain video from the business in an attempt to help identify the suspects. Officers also will be talking to people in the area to try and see if anyone may have seen anything suspicious around the time of the incident.

“Police arrived in the area less than one minute after the call came out,” Muniz reported. “Officers canvassed the area but did not locate anyone. There were no injuries during this incident.”

Police are asking that anyone with information concerning this matter please call Detective David Kassaw at 903-731-8482 or Crimes Stoppers at 903-729-TIPS (8477).
