Tickets on sale for Blankets & Bears dance event

PALESTINE — Tickets are now on sale for the fourth annual benefit “Spring Bling Dinner & Dance” for the Anderson County Blankets and Bears Children’s Fund.

The dance will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at the Ben E. Keith Community Room, 2019 W. Oak St. in Palestine.

The Elektratones will provide the musical entertainment and the caterer will be chef Ken Owens. Dress is cocktail attire.

The mission of the Blankets and Bears Fund is to provide comfort and security to children during turbulent times in their lives in the form of blankets and teddy bears.

Tickets are $40 for individuals and $75 for couples. Tables for eight are $500. Limited seating is available.

Tickets can be purchased from Texas First Title Co., 601 E. Lacy St., 903-723-5393 (Lisa Frye), or East Texas National Bank Trust Dept., 207 W. Spring St., 903-729-6048 (Danice Brumley). Credit cards are accepted.

Donations of new blankets, bears and stuffed animals will be accepted at the following locations: East Texas National Bank Trust Dept., 207 W. Spring St.; Jamie’s Therapeutic Touch, 1730 Crockett Rd.; KYYK/KNET/, 800 W. Palestine Ave.; Palestine Herald-Press, 519 N. Elm St.; Red Hat Rentals, 3210 W. Oak St. and Texas 1st Title Co., 601 E. Lacy St.,

Donations of the new blankets, bears and stuffed animal also will be accepted at the event.

Sponsorship donation spots are available in the following levels: Platinum Sponsor, donations of $500 or more; Gold Sponsor, donation of $350 to $499; Silver Sponsor, donation of $200 to $349; Bronze Sponsor, donation of $100 to $199; Friendship Sponsor, donation of $100; Bear Sponsor, donation of $25 to $99.
