PALESTINE — Due to the newspaper’s reliance on the United States Postal Service for the distribution of its newspapers, the Herald-Press staff announces that it will not publish a newspaper on Friday, July 4, as the USPS is closed in observance of Independence Day.
Religion Briefs (church news) and the Church Directory, which are normally printed in the Friday edition, will be published on Saturday paper this week only.
The deadline for submission of Religion Briefs — 5 p.m. Tuesday (today) — will not change. Submissions can be taken by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, fax at 903-729-0284 or in person at the H-P offices, located at 519 N. Elm St. in Palestine.
The Herald-Press offices will be closed Friday for the July 4 holiday. Offices will open as usual at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 7.
