Anderson County man jailed on burglary warrant

PALESTINE —

A 22-year-old man remained in the Anderson County Jail Thursday after his Wednesday evening arrest on a warrant issued for burglary of a habitation following a month-long investigation on the case.

According to Sheriff Greg Taylor, about a month ago, two burglaries occurred on Private Road 8608 and Anderson County Road 2608, located north of Tennessee Colony, with ACSO Sgt. Investigator Ryan Tolliver assigned to the case.

“He worked on the case for a month and developed a suspect, Justin Lee Brogdon, and got a warrant for one count of burglary of a habitation,” Taylor reported. “The warrant was issued Wednesday, with Brogdon being arrested that evening by deputy Ted Linam on PR 8608, where the subject resides.”

According to the sheriff, while Brogdon was arrested for the single count of burglary, he is suspected in at least two cases and likely several others.

“We did recover some of the items — food and electronics, gaming items,” the sheriff said. “We are continuing to develop the case.”

Brogdon's bail is set at $10,000.
