A Frankston High School teacher remained in the Anderson County Jail Monday after her arrest last week for three felony charges regarding an inappropriate relationship with a student at the school.
FHS Agriculture teacher Rachel Bauer, 24, of Frankston, was arrested on Thursday, June 19 and charged with sexual assault, criminal solicitation of a minor and inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a student — all felony charges.
“During our investigation of an unrelated incident, we uncovered this relationship via digital information,” Frankston Police Chief Darren Goodman said Monday about how the case was developed.
Bail for Bauer, who taught at the campus for one year, was initially set at $100,000 per charge, but has since been reduced to $75,000 for all three charges.
“(Bauer) has no criminal history,” Goodman said. “We are still investigating this case.”
