PALESTINE — United Way for East/Central Texas is currently accepting Community Investment Applications for 2015 calendar year funding.
Eligible applicants must complete and return applications no later than Friday, Aug. 29.
Any non-profit agency that is working to improve lives in the community — including Anderson, Leon, Freestone and Limestone counties — is eligible to apply.
United Way prides itself at being a community partner, committed to identifying and resolving pressing issues that affect the lives of everyone who lives and works in our area. According to a news release, the local organization “strives to energize and inspire people to make a difference in our community” by:
• Helping children succeed
• Strengthening and supporting families
• Promoting self-sufficiency
