A San Antonio man remained in the Anderson County Jail Wednesday after being arrested earlier this week for possession of methamphetamine following a trespass call and subsequent traffic stop.
According to Sheriff Greg Taylor, deputies Jeff Taylor and Mike Mitchell, were dispatched to a residence on the 600 block of ACR 4274 at about 10:45 a.m. Monday with the homeowner reporting a criminal trespass.
“(The homeowner) described the subject, 37-year-old Harley Eugene Mosley, and his vehicle, a blue Ford Ranger, and told deputies he had just left the scene,” Taylor said. “The deputies stopped his truck traveling on Farm Market Road 320 near Upper Lake.
“The guy was extremely nervous and complaining about why he was stopped,” he added.
After gaining permission to search the vehicle, deputies found a glass pipe and some clear plastic baggies containing a rock-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, the sheriff reported.
Mosley was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance-PG1, less than 1 gram. His bond has been set at $10,000.
“It appears the homeowner and the subject knew each other,” Taylor said. “There was some kind of verbal argument between the two and then Mosley left the scene.”
