PCT holding auditions for Christmas production Saturday

PALESTINE — Auditions for Palestine Community Theatre’s annual Christmas production will be held this Saturday at the Texas Theater in downtown Palestine.

The PCT will present an original Christmas show in December written and directed by Palestine resident Jamie King. The play “Christmas Gifts” is a heartwarming story about five couples with five different Christmas wishes.

“Will Michael make it home for Christmas? Will Mary convince Jeb that adoption is the best way to give their baby a brighter future? Will Sarah and John finally have a child to love? Will a romance bloom for Sam and Elizabeth? Can Rachel convince David that family is more important than wealth?” a PCT news release said. “These are all questions to be answered at the Texas Theater this Christmas.”

Children ages 8 and up and adults are encouraged to come out for auditions. Everyone should be prepared to sing a Christmas song at auditions. Dancers also are needed for this production as well and should prepare a short routine for auditions.

Auditions will start at 10 a.m.

“Christmas Gifts" will be a one-weekend-only performance Dec. 13-15.
