Man arrested for burglary of Elkhart building

PALESTINE — The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the burglary of a building in Elkhart, which led to the arrest of an Anderson County man.

Billy Wayne Arnold, 52, was arrested Thursday.

“During his investigation, Sgt. Lee Duren obtained information that led to the arrest of Mr. Arnold for the burglary of a building on FM319 in Elkhart,” ACSO Chief Deputy Troy Black said.

The warrant was signed by Anderson Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3, James Todd with a bond set at $75,000.

Upon completion of the investigation, the case will be forwarded to the Anderson County District Attorney's Office for grand jury consideration.
