Local spa expands retail side

In addition to adding to its spa service offerings, Jamie's Therapeutic Touch Day Spa owner Jamie Pettiette-Rhone has recently expanded on the retail side as well, literally tearing down walls in order to bring in more items to the spa's ever-growing boutique.

Throughout the year, Rhone travels to “markets” all over the United States to bring in the newest and trendiest items of fashion and merchandise from all over the world.

“Each year I buy the hottest sellers and always try to find things that are affordable to every budget,” Rhone said. “We have new boutique items coming in daily.”

Some of those items include blouses, dresses and leggings as well as licensed T-shirts, hats, headbands, jewelry, Ty Beanie Babies and Melissa & Doug sticker and activity books as well as bath and skin care items, recipe mixes and more..

“One of our more popular items are the personalized iphone cases and cups,” Rhone said. “We can put any name, color or saying on it in five minutes.”

Rhone began offering retail when she moved to her current location on Crockett Road. Her recent boutique expansion was completed in December.

Right now, customers can get a free necklace or scarf with the purchase of a blouse. St. Patrick's Day shoppers also can get 17 percent off their green retail purchases made on Monday.
