Our Town: PRMC Sunshine Guild holding annual $5 jewelry sale

PALESTINE —

The Sunshine Guild of the Palestine Regional Medical Center will host the return of Lisa Henshaw's “Masquerade” $5 Jewelry and Accessory Sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, in the PRMC cafeteria.

The large selection of jewelry, scarves, hats, sunglasses, wallets, money clips and other accessory items for both men and women will sell for $5 each.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit PRMC's Auxiliary Volunteer Sunshine Guild and the Guild's Scholarship Fund for the employees of the hospital and the Rehabilitation Center who want to further their education in the medical field.

“We are hoping that the community will come out, have a cup of coffee in our cafeteria and do some early Christmas shopping,” said Linda Sandifer, Sunshine Guild Committee Chairman for the sale.

Neches VFD fundraiser set Saturday

The Wallace Family Band, a Southern Gospel and Christian county music band, will perform at a benefit concert for the Neches Volunteer Fire Department at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Neches Elementary School auditorium.

Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 12. Tickets will be slightly higher at the door. There is no charge for pre-school age children. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Neches VFD.

Turkey Bingo event set

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus No.1323 will host its annual Turkey Bingo event at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the KC Hall, located at 110 N. Line St. in Palestine.

Turkey Bingo includes a cake auction, quilt raffles and door prizes. Food will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $7 for admission and bingo. Proceeds benefit charitable endeavors of the Ladies Auxiliary

of the Knights of Columbus.
