PALESTINE — Texas Department of Transportation spokesmen will speak during a special luncheon Monday to update the public on local transportation information.
The Palestine Area Chamber of Commerce will host the luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palestine Civic Center. Guest speakers include TxDOT District Engineer Randy Hopmann and TxDOT Commissioner Jeff Austin III.
"This luncheon is going to be an excellent opportunity for the public to receive important transportation information and updates impacting our community,” Chamber Executive Director Marc Mitchell told the Herald-Press Wednesday. "We are honored to have TxDOT Commissioner Jeff Austin and TxDOT District Engineer Randy Hopmann attending this event."
Texas State Sen. Robert Nichols also is expected to be in attendance.
"We are excited to announce that there is going to be a very special presentation made at this event,” Mitchell said.
