Arizona woman killed in 2-vehicle crash Friday

PALESTINE — An Arizona woman was killed in a two-vehicle wreck Friday morning near Tennessee Colony.

Kimberly L. Kaiser, 22, of Flagstaff, Ariz. was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:04 a.m. Friday by Anderson County Precinct 2 Justice of Peace Carl Davis, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials.

Kaiser was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer, traveling westbound on CR 2223, approaching FM 645, about 1.2 miles south of Tennessee Colony at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

She failed to yield at the stop sign and was struck by a 2007 freightliner truck tractor towing a 2012 abbreviated trailer going northbound on FM 645, driven by Billy Earl Overman of Lufkin, according to the DPS.

Kaiser was wearing a seatbelt. The wreck is being investigated by DPS Trooper Lynn Hubert.
