'Youth Explosion' event set Saturday at Palestine Civic Center

PALESTINE —

Youth and adults from age 10 to 30 are invited to attend a “Make Me Over” Youth Explosion event featuring speakers, music and more on Saturday.

“All of the youth are coming together to worship,” event organizer Joshua Arthur said. “Different ethnic groups, different organizations are all coming together.”

The youth event, based on 2 Corinthians 5:17, will kick off at 4 p.m. at the Palestine Civic Center, located at 1819 W. Spring St.

A handful of groups playing a variety of music ranging from Christian rock, praise and worship and gospel rap will perform including Annointed Voices, Luke Nyne, Dynamic Praise, Red Leter and I.D.

Two speakers will share their testimony.

“You can be born again. You can become a better person whether that is in academics or whatever you are trying to achieve,” Arthur said.

Admission is free but donations will be accepted. Door prizes will be given.
