Easter hunts, activities set for this weekend

“We hope everyone comes out and brings their kids,” Hrebec said. “We promise to have a great time, and we've got plenty of eggs (filled with) candy and toys and door prizes.”

 

Here is a list of other Easter egg hunts this weekend:

 

SATURDAY

• Wal-Mart Supercenter, 2223 S. Loop 256, will hold its annual Easter egg hunt starting at 10 a.m. for children age 0-10 behind the store.

Grace United Methodist Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday on the golf course at their new location at 2130 Country Club Rd. (former Meadowbrook Country Club).

Egg hunts will be divided into the following age groups: toddlers through 2 years and children ages 3-5 and 6-12, respectively. During the hunt, children can find the “golden egg” for a special prize. Other fun includes an egg toss, spoon races, duck pond, bounce houses and popcorn.

• First United Methodist Church, located at 422 S. Magnolia St., will hold its annual Easter Festival starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. The event will feature an egg hunt, face painting, bounce house and storytime.

 

SUNDAY

• Pisgah Baptist Church will hold an Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. Sunday. The church is located at 11265 FM 837 East.

• The Antioch Church, located at 907 E. Murchison St., will hold its annual Easter egg hunt following the 11:30 a.m. worship service.

• Westwood Baptist Church will hold its Easter egg hunt following the 11 a.m. worship service. The church is located at 1809 Bassett Rd.

• First Christian Church, located at 113 E. Crawford St., will hold an Easter egg hunt after its 10:40 a.m. worship service.

• Court Drive Church of Christ will hold an Easter egg hunt following its 10 a.m. worship service. The hunt will be for toddlers through the 4th grade. There will fun outdoor activities, games, food and pictures with the rabbit. The church is located at 1434 Court Dr.
