“We will have music, activities and door prizes,” City of Palestine Event Coordinator Heather Hrebec said. “The Citizens on Patrol will have concessions available to purchase at the event.”
Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, the railroad-themed Splash Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
PWFAA concludes season of entertainment
Piney Woods Fine Arts Association would like to thank everyone in the community, its sponsors and all the volunteers that helped to make this past season a huge success.
PWFAA brought the big names to Crockett, like Robert Earl Keen, Neal McCoy, Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan and Sinbad to name a few!
“These shows were very popular and helped us to continue our mission in providing the very best in live-entertainment for the citizens of East Texas,” a PWFAA news release said.
The PWFAA Arts in Education programs were a success this year too. The School-Time Series shows smashed previous records for attendance with more than 2,000 school kids attending each show. The 2014 Houston County Youth Talent Showcase had the largest crowd ever in attendance.
