PALESTINE — Two local residents remained in the Anderson County Jail on Thursday following their arrest on a burglary warrant Wednesday in Elkhart.

According to Sheriff Greg Taylor, the ACSO received a report of a burglary that occurred in the 3000 block of ACR 153 on Aug. 30, with several items, including miscellaneous tools and personal items reported stolen.

After an investigation, officers were able to identify the two subjects involved as Brandee Leigh Arnold, 37, of Palestine and Jeffrey Keith Glenn Jr., 28, of Elkhart.

“Sgt. Investigator Ronnie Foster got a warrant for their arrest on Tuesday,” Taylor said. “They made the arrest on Wednesday in front of the Elkhart Pharmacy on U.S. 287.”

The sheriff reported that some of the stolen property in the case has been recovered, and that officers are continuing to investigate the case.

“We suspect that these two might be involved in some other burglary and theft cases in the Elkhart area and that there are possibly other suspects involved,” Taylor said.

Both Arnold and Glenn were charged with burglary of a habitation, with a bond of $50,000 each. ACSO Sgt. Brian Chason and Deputy Ginger Lively assisted in the investigation.
