The Museum for East Texas Culture will hold its annual Christmas Marketplace event on Saturday just in time for the holidays.
The Christmas Marketplace will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the museum’s auditorium featuring local arts and crafts vendors and small businesses with holiday gift items such as jewelry, candles, crosses, handmade items and more.
“Items are unique and not something you can buy at stores,” Museum for East Texas Culture Director Dan Dyer said.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to have pictures taken with children during the event. Pictures will cost $5 each and proceeds will benefit the museum.
Vendor space for the event is still available. Tables are $15 each for an 8-foot table. Interested persons can call the museum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at 903-723-1914.
The museum is located at 400 S. Micheaux St. in Palestine behind Reagan Park.
