Anderson County Commissioners hold regular meeting

PALESTINE —

The Anderson County Commissioners Court held its regular meeting Monday in the County Courtroom of the Anderson County Courthouse Annex.

During the meeting, the court:

• APPROVED minutes of previous meetings.

• APPROVED reports from county officials.

• APPROVED budget amendments.

• APPROVED bills.

• APPROVED an interlocal agreement between Anderson County and Pace Purchasing Cooperative for the purchase of office furniture and supplies.

• APPROVED revised resolutions R-13-2014 and R-14-2014 with Anderson County and the Texas Department of Transportation concerning Equivalent Match Structures for Anderson County bridge replacement projects.

• TABLED action on hiring a part-time County Veterans Service Officer, as the county was pursuing grant funds for the position.

• ADOPTED Resolution R-15-2014, which authorized County Grant HB407 regarding Meals on Wheels for the year 2015. The grant provides $2,600 for Meals on Wheels of Palestine for the upcoming year.

Anderson County Commissioners hold meetings twice a month, on the second and fourth Mondays.
